WLW Weekly // 2.1.26
Diving into dating, the best classroom valentine’s, I love when cheaper is better, and what I’m watching and reading right now.
001 // DATING, AFTER MARRIAGE
I wrote about re-entering dating after 20 years of marriage, including my occasional belief that a personal harem of gentleman callers might be the solution.

002 // BE OUR VALENTINE
I loved the classroom valentines I ordered for the boy’s last year. There are soooo many to choose from and then they’re personalized with a little picture of them on the back. Order now and have it set and done with no last minute, late night home DIYs.
003// WHEN CHEAPER IS BETTER
Do you have any things you prefer the cheaper version of? I don’t mean times you settle for the less expensive version, I mean when it’s your first choice. I love these instances because lifestyle creep is real. I have a few distinct things I feel this way about and I want to know yours. I prefer these sweaters to the Jenni Kayne originals. I like these and these sheets over any expensive ones I’ve bought. These are my favorite standard undies. And I always like the lightness and simplicity of a prefer an inexpensive toaster and hand mixer, it’s just better and the brand doesn’t even matter. I wear these and these shoes way more, year in and year out, than any fancy pair that I have because they’re so comfortable and simple.
Tell me yours (with links if applicable) in the comments and I’ll add them all to the link below for easy access.
004// SEEING + HEARING
I’ve been listening to Nora Ephron’s I Feel Bad About My Neck. I read it about 15 years ago and liked it then even though I relate much more deeply now and love her more than I ever have. The documentary, Everything is Copy, her son made about her after she passed is also excellent if you haven’t seen it.
I guess I’m on a nostalgic streak because I’m rereading Valley of the Dolls because it’s one heck of a good time.
If you have been in on the Heated Rivalry fever, I loved Dr. Cassidy’s article, A Therapist’s Take on Why Heated Rivalry Feels So Good and Esther Perel’s take on why the show has captured our collective attention even more than the show itself.
Maybe the best thing to watch this weekend, of Melania’s movie opening is Michelle Obama’s Becoming.
I see all of your likes and comments and it means more than you might think.
